I know everyone has already heard the news, but I felt as though it needed its own post.
We had a doctors appointment on Tues. Nov. 22 at 3:15. I was excited and even though I had thought all along that we were having a boy, I still thought, "What if it's a girl...".
Whenever my doctor started the sonogram he looked around forever, but the baby was being very modest and covering herself up! But, as you can see below (if you can "read" sonogram pics), we got a wonderful picture of her hands a feet.
After looking around, for what seemed like a really long time, he finally saw that it was indeed a girl.
I was literally in shock! I cried and kept asking if he was sure! He assured me over and over again that 'it' is definitely a 'she'.
Brad and I left the doctors office and went to Babies-R-Us where we walked around for about an hour and a half in a fog. Don't get me wrong, we were as happy as can be, we were still just shocked! After we came to our senses, we were able to pick out bedding and even bought her a couple of things.
We told Brad's family on Thanksgiving and as soon as we were checked into our hotel at Disney World (still in the lobby), we told my family. We shared the news to both families by reading this:
Santa came on Christmas Eve,
he left presents in our stockings,
he left the room with a great heave,
and went back up the chimney.
Do you know what I want for Christmas?
I already know for sure,
a baby girl!
A baby girl,
a bundle of joy,
the greatest toy,
better than anything on the planet!
Not made of cloth or granite,
but sturdy skin and bones!
We didn't coal or stones,
but a bundle of joy in our stockings!
We'll embroider smocking
on our baby's stocking-
our brand new infant stocking!
I'll end this post by saying we are so excited and are now ready to get things ready for our baby girl, Zoey Jane!
This is a picture of her face.
