BFF Robby

Some of our family, including Brad, mom and dad, and myself are fans of NASCAR.
3 Years ago around this same time, mom and dad were driving on the highway and noticed at a truck stop was the hauler of moms favorite driver. They stopped so she could take a picture of it. The driver, Robby, saw mom and dad, introduced himself and showed them inside the hauler...and he also happened to be part of the pit crew , the "gasman'. Robby and my parents have stayed in close contact since then. That's why he is known as mom's BFF Robby!
Today Robby and his co-hauler-driver (I don't know what the correct term is so I made up my own!) were making their way to Arizona for the next race. Robby told mom that they would be stopping at the same truck stop, so we went to meet him. After dinner at In-N-Out burger, we headed back across the street to the hauler. By this time Stephanie, Rob, and the boys had also met up with us.
He opened the side doors and let us in, we all felt so privileged!
Once inside, there is a office area and when you turn around, the practice car is right there!
Caleb and Cade were in Heaven!
We were also shown the fire suits worn by the 38 driver, David Gilliland.
Once Brad got off, he was able to join us and was given the grand tour as well.
Here he's holding David Gilliland's helmet.

To some, this blog may seem weird and uninteresting, but to us, it was a fun afternoon with a fun guy named Robby that has provided us with an experience most NASCAR fans will never have!
