On Dec. 30, we packed up and headed to Killeen/Fort Hood to ring in the New Year with Jeffrey and Leigh Ann. It has become a tradition and we love getting to spend time together!
This was the first time they have seen Zoey since she was 4mos old! She has changed quite a bit since then.
Zoey took to them so quickly, and vice versa...I love that Jeffrey asked to feed her her bottle! So sweet...
On New Year's Eve, we were all exhausted. When Zoey went to bed, we put in a movie, but it was over with around 9:30...so far from midnight!! We decided we would just watch the ball drop live at 11, and turn in. But, around 10:30, Leigh Ann somehow talked me into doing Just Dance with their XBox Kinect. Knowing that I would be made fun of, I agreed. I actually didn't do too bad! It was SO much fun!
Leigh Ann and I did 3 dances and were exhausted, so we begged the boys to do one. The first picture was taken when they were supposed to be dancing...the second is them giving half an effort! They didn't even finish the dance before they quit.
Leigh Ann and I did 3 more...and I WON the last 3! I was pretty excited!
We finished with about 5 minutes until midnight.
We watched the New York ball drop and rang New Year with a kiss and a toast!
2012 has had its ups and downs, like every other year...
The Downs:
In January we unexpectedly lost my Aunt Janis.
Josh is still spending most of the year working over seas.
The Ups:
The birth of our beautiful baby girl, Zoey Jane.
The birth of our niece, Madalynn Grace.
Jeffrey's safe return from his year long deployment.
Josh also returned for two months (March and November).
