The calendar has been changed to September, which to some means fall is on the way. It isn't anywhere in sight here, but the fall sports have started. I was thrilled when I heard that 3 of my favorite boys would be playing soccer! Saturday was the first day of games. Zoey and I got up bright and early to head up to the fields.
Daniel's game was first. He is playing U-5. At this age, the kids are just clustering around the ball and following it wherever it goes. But we were there to cheer him on.
It was already so hot and sunny at 9am! Zoey did really well though. She just loves being outside! She was content in her stroller for the first half, but then wanted to play in the dirt...yay! I love dirt all over my daughter and under her fingernails. Oh well, she was happy!
Right after Daniel's game, we headed over to the big fields to watch Blake's game. He plays U-10 so they actually know what they are doing!
Blake started off playing the same position I used to play, fullback!
He also played pretty aggressively! He wasn't scared to go after the ball!
I was a very proud aunt!
Did I mention that it was HOT!! Thankfully at Blake's game there was some shade for the littles to play in. As you can see though, they are still quite sweaty...and Zo continued to play in the dirt.
Unfortunately, Barrett's game wasn't until one.Since I needed to get Zoey home, BATHED, fed, and put down for a nap, we were unable to make his. Hopefully next time we will be able to attend all three. We have to get Zoey acquainted with the sport so she will be ready when she is old enough to play!
