Austin Wedding Weekend

As soon as we received the wedding invitation, Mom, Shannon, and I decided we were road tripping to Austin to be at the wedding. It was for Heather, a girl I used to babysit...yes babysit! Wow, I'm old! Saturday morning we got up bright and early to head to Austin.
Zoey was so excited when I got out her Minnie Mouse suitcase and started putting clothes in to it.

Zoey did really well for most of the ride. When she started getting antsy it was time to pull out the electronics. When one wasn't good enough...
 ...two did the trick!
Nap time came after we stopped for lunch but only lasted 30min.
The wedding started at 4, we pulled up at 3:30, we got to our room, changed, and were at the chapel at 3:45!

After the wedding, it was of course time for the reception!

After being in the car for 5ish hours,  sleeping for only 30 min, then being told to be quiet and still during the wedding (which she did!!!), she couldn't do it anymore! She was ready to move!!
She took a break though to watch the bride and groom's first dance.
Then the dance floor opened and Zoey danced her little heart out. Gram couldn't say no, so she even got there when Zo asked her to!
The beautiful bride Heather with two of her former babysitters.
At the front of the reception hall was a very large, very empty room, where Zoey ran her little heart out! She couldn't have been happier here! She ran and ran and ran around this room! She would've stayed out there the whole time...but I didn't want to miss the reception!

We called it an early night because bless Zoey's heart, she was just exhausted. When we got to our room, which was a camp dorm room, we all climbed in to bed and Zoey and I were both asleep by 9! Sunday morning, we woke up well rested. Shannon and I went for a run around the camp...it brought back lots of memories! I came to this camp twice as a youth for summer camp! After breakfast we headed out. We stopped to have lunch at The Oasis on Lake Travis. That was some good Mexican food...
 ...with a GORGEOUS view.
Because of  a couple of detours, for our road trip pleasure, and horrible traffic, we FINALLY got home...9 hours after leaving! We all had a wonderful weekend away and Zoey was perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better baby!
Congrats to the new Mr and Mrs Nash!
