As in many Father's Day past, mom and dad pulled the camper out to Thousand Trails. We loaded up and headed out early Saturday morning to spend the day with them. We got there around lunch time, ate and got ready to head to the pool. As we were about to leave, it started sprinkling, of course! We moved under the awning to wait it out. While we waited, Zoey played...
...and Elleigh relaxed/dosed in her stroller.
When the rain stopped, it was still cloudy and windy but we decided to head to the pool anyways.
On the walk over to the pool, Elleigh fell asleep, but of course woke up very unhappy as soon as the stroller stopped. Mom and dad took her back to the camper for a nap so that we could still enjoy a swim. Zoey was more than happy to have both Brad and I all to herself.
The plan was to spend Father's Day with the whole family out at Thousand Trails, swimming, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and just having a good time together. However, we woke up Sunday morning to storms and severe flooding. Rain was in the forecast for the rest of the day. So we changed our plans. We all met at Shannon and Josh's house. We still spent the day together visiting, and were even able to grill the hamburgers and hot dogs.
I took my camera but was having such a good time, I didn't take a single picture!
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!
Especially to my Dad and the Daddy to my girls!
We couldn't have been blessed with anyone better!!
