Our long awaited trip to Colorado finally came! We left our house at 5:30am on Sunday Dec. 27. 16.5 hours later, we finally arrived at Leigh Ann and Jeffrey's house. The girls did GREAT!! I was honestly shocked with how well they did! We ate a quick dinner and then all went to bed.
Leigh Ann and Jeffrey worked half days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Those mornings were nice just relaxing and that's really what we did all day on those 3 days.
On New Years Eve, we had planned on finding some snow for Zoey. There was no snow at Leigh Ann's house so we had to go up in the mountains. Elleigh woke up pretty congested so Brad and Jeffrey decided to stay home with her. Leigh Ann, Zoey, and I had breakfast at a cute little home cooking restaurant then headed into Mueller State Park. It was absolutely beautiful! We found a nice spot, parked, bundled up, and headed into the snow.
Zo loved it! The snow was so powdery we weren't even able to build a snow man!
Look at that view!! So beautiful!!
Zoey jumped around for awhile and loved throwing it in the air!
We then decided to get the sled out...and figured out real quick how deep the snow was!!
The sled started sinking, taking on snow, and then it wasn't so much fun anymore!!
Zoey was freezing and her feet were wet due to the deep snow getting in her boots, so we wrapped her up trying to get her warm!
Like I said, the snow was deep!!
But thew view was worth the cold wet feet!
We drove through Starbucks for a warm drink and then Zoey crashed on the way home. Crashed as in was snoring SO. LOUD.
Being the big party animals that we are, we cooked dinner and watched TV. Leigh Ann and I fell asleep and the boys woke us up at 11:45. We watched the ball drop, took a few pictures and went to bed!
2015 was a good year.
Our sweet Elleigh Kate was born!
We have all adjusted to being a family of four and have truly enjoyed our time together!
We also welcomed Aiden into the world and Kcup was officially adopted into our family!
We got to ring in the New Year with the best friends we could ever ask for!
We are ready for whatever 2016 throws our way!
