A Work in Progress...

We have been in our house for a little over a month now. We have lots of updates that need to be made and first on our list was the paint. Every wall and ceiling, in the whole house, were painted an awful shade of powder blue! On the fourth of July we spent the entire day painting! We got a lot done!

This picture is a before...my camera isn't the best, but its blue!  

This is the after picture...a wonderful khaki shade! I think the actual name is Woodrow Wilson Putty! That tells you the color doesn't it!

Now the we are done with painting the walls, its time to decorate and get some stuff on the walls!

(the figures on the mantal are not permanent...I just set them there while we were moving and haven't found a home for them yet!)

We have also finished painting the kitchen! It was also, of course, powder blue! I don't know who lived here before, but obviously blue was their favorite color!

 Me, on the other hand, wanted a sage green kitchen! I am so happy at how it turned out! It looks so good with the color of our cabinets!

So, there ya go! The first of many blogs about the updates on our house. Next will be the painting of the bathrooms and bedrooms! I know you're excited =}
