Rest & Relaxation

We knew Jeffrey would be coming home at some point this month, but he and Leigh Ann kept the exact date a surprise. On Monday we received word that Jeffrey had safely returned home for his 2week R&R.

Last night we met them at Chili's for dinner.

After 3 looong months, the two kindred spirits were together again (this was only partially posed :))!

  I think I smiled all night! It was so good to see his face and hear stories from Afghanistan life. Some I could have done without hearing, but others, it was like a glimpse into what he is living.

This will probably the only time he sees me in person while pregnant. By the time he comes home for good, we will have a 2 monthish old. (This is a sad thought for us all!)

It was so good seeing him. I begged him not to go back, but he insisted he had to...something about going AWOL not being good.



The time was too short, but I am so thankful for it. He will leave again a week from Monday.

 Pray for safe travels and for his safety while he is in the horrible and dangerous place of Afighanistan!
