Vacation- Day 2

The first morning at Orange Beach started out early...thanks to our sweet roommate Zoey!
After our yummy hotel breakfast, we headed down the boardwalk from the hotel lobby to the beach.
Zoey immediately started playing in the sand...and I was worried she wouldn't like it!!
We decided to introduce Zoey to the ocean, so we walked to the waters edge.
When the water finally reached us...Zo flipped...
...and just needed to be comforted by her Daddy.
We headed back to the shade and sand.
 She was all smiles!!
After playing for awhile, we headed back to the water, this time she was content to be held and just watch the wave roll in.
Brad and I, however, wanted to enjoy the water...so we did, one at a time.
More sand time...

After about an hour, Zoey got super sleepy and we headed in for a little nap.
Right across from our hotel are some cute little shops and restaurants, so we walked over there after nap for lunch. Then back to the beach for round 2.
She loved seashells and stood at this chair playing with them for almost an hour.
The sun is exhausting so back to the hotel we went. After baths it was time for us all to take a nap.
Brad saw this restaurant on TV one time and has said all along that we were going to have dinner here...the ORIGINAL Oyster House.
Brad ordered oysters on the half shell....EW! Or so I thought...
but then I tried one...and then had 3! They were actually very good with garlic sauce and hot sauce.
Yay me for trying something new!
We had a very long but enjoyable day and look forward to another one tomorrow!
Zoey says, "Goodnight all!!"
