During the Rangers games a few months ago, they started advertising a 5k at the Ballpark on Labor Day. It was a no brainer, we had to sign up!
This time Zo was going to accompany us! She was super excited!
Labor Day started out around 5am here at the Killough house. We got ourselves ready then woke Zoey up. Even at 5:45am, she wakes up bright eyed and bushy tailed!
We also woke up to thunder, lightening, and heavy rain. Even still, we headed to Arlington.
It was sprinkling when the race started but soon the rain gave way to HORRIBLE humidity!
Oh, did I mention that in order for Zo to participate I had to run 3.1miles WITH the jogging stroller??
I was worried but it wasn't terrible and only slowed our time by a couple of minutes.
Oh, and the finish line was on the field!! Shannon was very excited when she realized we got to go through the tunnel to get onto the field.
By the time we made it through the masses at the finish line, we found Zoey fast asleep. Who could blame her? The poor thing was up at the crack of dawn!
This race was one of my favorites that we have done so far this year. I feel like it was an accomplishment because I was able to do the whole run with the stroller, and it was fun because it was at the Ballpark and I can finally say that I have been on the field!!!!
It was another successful 5k in the books for the 3 of us!
Happy Labor Day!
I hope you all had a fun, safe, and relaxing holiday!

Way to go! And so fun you got to finish on the field!
I mean, I pushed her for a second before I almost killed the both of us! Don't take all of the credit
