It's that time of year again! Time for the great State Fair of Texas! Oh how I love the fair!
Thursday Brad skipped school and the 3 of us headed to the fair. The weather was absolutely perfect!
First stop, the petting zoo! Zoey didn't even hesitate before reaching out to pet the animals!
Big Tex's Barn Yard was next. The brown Brahma we saw was the prettiest cow I have ever seen! I couldn't get over how soft she looked! She is obviously well taken care of.
The butter sculpture, one of my favorite attractions. It amazes me that someone actually takes the time to do this...but I love seeing it each year.
Another neat site was the state fair mural made out of Lego's!
After making those few stops, it was time for lunch. We let Zoey run around for awhile. She was having fun just being outside.
We stopped to see good ole Elsie in the Food and Fiber building.
The car building, one of our favorite stops! Zoey picked out her future car.
After all the walking she had done, she was ready for a nap.
Yep, she's still asleep in this picture.
While she slept, Brad and I enjoyed our Fletcher's corny dog. It was SOOO good and well worth the wait in the ridiculously long line!
Zoey woke up as we were passing the aquarium. During the fair the tickets are discounted and children under two are free so we decided to go in.
Zoey LOVED it! She was laughing at a turtle in this picture. I surprised by how much she liked looking at the fish and other aquarium animals!
These were my two favorites. A Sea Turtle that had two "nemo" fins, and a Frog Fish! Isn't that the weirdest looking fish???
The Texas Star...I like looking at it from afar, rather than being on it!
Last but not least our family with the new Big Tex!
As always we had a great trip to the State Fair and look forward to going again next year!
