Labor Day weekend arrived with a rainy forecast. The percentages were low so mom went ahead and planned a party. She also invited our uncles, aunt, and cousin. The weather turned out perfect so we were outside the whole time.
After playing for awhile, it was time to eat. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings!
What is a family get together in the country without a little excitement? We were all standing around talking and dad spotted a snake right next to Shannon. Dad said don't move, so naturally we all freaked out and hopped up on any chair we could find! Since we were done eating, dad grabbed grilling tongs to pick it up with.
Once the snake was taken care of, we all gathered together for family pictures.
Nancy was our only cousin that was able to come so this is our "cousin" picture.
As soon as we snapped the last picture, the kids were off to play some more!
Last but not least, time for S'mores!!!! This was Zoey's first time to roast a marshmallow!
The rest of Labor Day weekend was nice and low key.
