Father's Day Weekend

Mom and Dad always go camping on Father's Day weekend. This year, since we have a camper, as do the McIntire's, we all loaded up and headed out there with them. Since this was a 4 day camping trip, I am doing a Father's Day post separately.
We chose a shady spot right in front of mom and dad and next to Susan and Robert (Their camper is in the background).
I gave Dad and idea of what I had in mind for our 'yard art' and he delivered! I absolutely love it.
As soon as we got unloaded, the fun began. Elleigh tried her hardest to get up on the picnic table by herself.
(she finally mastered it on the last day!)

The McIntire's have a golf cart and to say that my girls loved it, would be an understatement! If it wasn't being used, the kids would be playing on it!
Our Friday night dinner was followed by an almost sleepless night! Elleigh woke up around 1:30 and didn't go back to sleep until around 5 (Neither did Brad and I). While she was up partying, around 3am, Brad's work phone started going off! It was basically an awful night. But, the rest of the nights, were very restful!
Saturday morning after breakfast, we all congregated at mom and dad's camper and a full of fun day started!

After our walk by the lake, we found a turtle!

Lunch Saturday was a feast! Mom cooked a brisket, I brought sides, and Robert smoked a turkey breast, sausage, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. It was so good! We were all miserably stuffed!
Afternoons and evenings were spent at the pool. Elleigh Kate LOVED the water!!
Zoey of course hated it at first but by Sunday she was jumping in, and paddling around on her own!
Fast forward to Monday, our last day. The boys found a huge and fresh crawdad hole so Gram made the bait and the kids went fishing. Nothing was caught but it was fun trying.
After lunch and Popsicles, we packed our dirty and tired selves up and headed home.
It is weekends like this that I am so thankful for our camper. The memories we are making will last a lifetime and I am so thankful for that!
