Last year some friends did the Color Run 5k and it looked like a lot of fun! Shannon and I found out when it was and signed up. Along with Stephanie, Caleb, our honorary sister Shmamy (Amy), her daughter and friend. Since Shannon's travel dates didn't work out according to plan, Dad filled in for her.
Our morning started out bright and early...we arrived at Fair Park shortly after 7am!
We are all bright and white before we headed off for the run...
...and crossed the finish line bright and colorful!
Caleb and Rachel finished first closely followed by Stephanie and myself. I have said all along that I wanted to run most of it, I was successful. We only walked through the color throws because it was basically impossible to run through those due to the congestion of people.
This race was a sell out...that's over 10,000 people!
At the finish line, they had a Finish Celebration...it got dirty! Hahaha!
I am so proud of myself, my husband, my dad, and everyone else that participated.
We had a blast!
Since this race was a sell out....it's coming back in November and I will be running in that one too!
After all, it is the Happiest 5k on the Planet!!
