Vacation- Day 1

Vacation is FINALLY here!! We have had this planned, booked, and paid for for months! 

This morning we left our house shortly after 5am. We stopped at around 8am in Shreveport, Louisiana to stretch our legs and get some breakfast. Our next stop was Vicksburg, Mississippi. We got some lunch and stopped at this park, Brad had found, to eat. 

It has a nice view of the Mississippi River...

There were covered picnic tables and lots of room to run and a playground to play on.

It was about time for Zoey's afternoon nap, so we let her run around to burn up some energy.

 Almost as soon as we left, she was fast asleep!!

 When we FINALLY arrived at our hotel, Brad went to check us in. They told him even though we had reservations, our room had been given to someone else. They, however, upgraded us, at no extra charge, to a suite with an ocean view balcony...oh shucks! 

This is our view for the week...I think I can handle it!

It took just over 13hours from our driveway to Orange Beach, Alabama. Zoey did unbelievably well! I am still a little surprised at that considering the longest she has ever been in a car is 3 hours...but I am not complaining!

Tomorrow the real fun starts and I can not wait!!!
