Snow Day 2014

It seems as though several days this week the weather has called for snow flurries. Those days come and go with no snow. I figured today would be the same. However, when I looked out the window when I woke up, the snow was falling! Zoey and I watched it out the windows as we ate breakfast. I let the snow accumulate a little more, then we bundled up and headed out. Since Zoey doesn't really like new things (grass, sand, pools, etc..) I highly expected her to flip out. She didn't but was very cautious.
Note: excuse her wardrobe! She was still in her pj's.
 Little baby snow prints.
Still unsure of why everything was white, Zoey just kind of stood on the sidewalk for awhile and took it all in.
I got her to put her hand in the snow, but she did not like how cold and wet it was...we quickly wiped her hand clean and she was ok after that.
She finally ventured to the drive way...
...and took a closer look at the ground.
Once we were all frozen, we went in to thaw out by the fire.
After lunch, Zoey brought us her coat and shoes so we took the hint, bundled up and headed out again.
Bless her heart, it was so bright she just couldn't look at the camera.
We were unprepared for this weather so Brad braved the streets and went to the store for us.
 My adorable little snow bunny!

Even the puppies enjoyed a little snow time.

I know this snow isn't anything compared to our friends up in New York who recieved 10.2inches yesterday alone, but it's just enough to give us a taste of true winter.
Fun little side note: Our heater is broken! Wahoo! Thanks to the fire and space heater, we have stayed warm  but are prepared for a very cold night. We had it looked at today and the repair man is supposed to be here around 11 tomorrow to fix it. Fingers crossed!

Hope your heater got fixed! Zoey looked so cute in the snow!
