Summer is HERE!!! Yay!
Although Brad has already been out of school for 3 weeks now, this was our first day that we were actually able to spend doing summer things. We had our day planned out!
Our first stop was to our local sprinkler park. We had absolutely no idea if Zoey would like it, but we wanted to try.
We got there early so we had the whole park to ourselves. Zoey was very unsure about it at first.
But with me by her side, she got braver and braver...
...until she was all over the place by herself.
She had a blast and even pitched a little fit when we told her we had to go. I was OK with that fit though because it meant she had fun.
The sprinkler parks aren't open all summer because of water restrictions, so we are planning on going back several times in the coming weeks before they close it.
After lunch at our favorite Mexican food place, we went home for naps. Once everyone woke up, Brad did yard work while Zo and I just enjoyed being outside. When dinner was over and we all got cleaned up, we headed to our last fun event of the evening. Bahama Buck's for snow cones. Zoey ended up not liking it!
She took a bite...
...then covered her mouth saying, "Cold! Cold!". She only took a couple of more bites and then was done with it!
With Brad being in school and both of us working, we our so glad summer is here! He has 12 weeks of summer left and we can't wait to spend as much time together as possible! Today was the perfect way to get started!
Happy Summer Everyone!!
